On October 19, over 35 selected AmCham members and invited guests came together in Tehnopol Startup Incubator for a round-table discussion on Accessing the US Market – what does it take to get there and what does it take to make it?
The discussion was moderated by Yrjö Ojasaar from Solon Partners. The round-table experts included Carl Pucci, the Head of American Operation of Datel Ovela LLC; Andrew Coleman, Internal Auditor at Swedbank; Hannes Lentsius from PwC Legal, and Alex Sergiwa, the Innovation Scout from G51 AMLIFY (live from Boston, USA)
Carl talked about various ways to access US market and how to receive the needed support, how to network and connect in the USA. His main message for the action plan was: try-fail-learn-repeat!
The two U.S. taxation system experts, Andrew Coleman and Hannes Lentsius gave on overview on the main differences of taxation system in U.S. and Europe.
Taxation topic was followed by a live Skype call directly from the U.S! Alex Sergiwa talked about raising investments, preparing in a lean way and also about connecting to strategic businesses, partners and technology.
All the presentation were followed by a rather active Q&A round.
We would like to thank all the participants for joining us! Our special thank you goes to our event partner, Tehnopol Startup Incubator, for hosting the event!
And of course we would like to thank our member MyChef for providing delicious snacks and cakes, as well as warm beverages for our round-table discussion meeting! This was much appreciated by all participants!
