On September 3, AmCham Estonia held its 16th Annual Meeting with the Prime Minister Of Estonia Ms. Kaja Kallas. AmCham members gathered together in Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia for the traditional luncheon.
The event began with the opening by Mr. Indrek Laul, who also highlighted our Premium Partners – Pfizer, Google, Microsoft, UPS, Raytheon, Coca-Cola Baltics, and Datel and presented them with the traditional wooden plaques.
The event continued with the Keynote Address by Ms. Kaja Kallas, who has started her speech by saying that she is very thankful for the invitation and how important it is for the government to keep up this tradition and great cooperation with the institution like AmCham Estonia. She was proud to say that a couple of weeks ago Estonia celebrated its 30th year of independence and the new president of Estonia has been chosen a few days ago. One of the topics was the COVID-19 crisis and how it has affected Estonia. Many other topics have been covered during the speech including the pension reform, US-Estonian relations, digital revolution, and others.
Her speech was followed by a very active Q&A session, where our members had a chance to ask their questions directly from Prime Minister. Many topics were discussed and we want to thank our members for being so active and pre-sending many questions ahead of time as well.
The official part was followed by a networking lunch. We would like to thank Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia for the excellent service and great food. And big thank you goes to our event sponsors Datel, UPS, Raytheon, and Microsoft!!! Also of course our members who attended the event and for understanding the new reality of organizing the in-person events.
We would like to thank Prime Minister Kallas and her office for finding the time to meet with the business community and hold an open discussion, as well as answer the questions from the audience.
