Did you know that airports regularly go to speed dating? Or which airport has the longest runway in the Baltics? Or that over 2,5 millions of passengers visited Tallinn Airport during 2017, which is 19% more than it used to be?
These are only some of the exciting facts AmCham members got to learn during our behind-the-scenes tour of the Tallinn Airport and meeting with its CEO Piret Mürk-Dubout.
The event turned out to be extremely popular among our members and was sold out at a glance, we even had to arrange an additional group – a big thank you to the Tallinn Airport’s team for understanding and making it possible!
During the behind-the scenes tour we got to see the different air-crafts parked at the airports territory, peak into the luggage department, fire rescue station and the VIP lounges. After the excursion, we headed to the meeting with the CEO of the airport Piret Mürk-Dubout and learn first-hand about the upcoming expansion – the airport is on its absolute peak, the new parking building is to be ready by this summer providing over 1000 extra parking spots, and with an estimate of 40 regular destinations and 60 flights per day the growth and expansion are not slowing down. We are definitely to be proud of our coziest airport in Europe!
We would like to thank Piret Mürk-Dubout and her team for being wonderful hosts! And of course, to all the participants for joining us for this peak behind the scenes!
