AmCham Estonia leadership team meets U.S. Ambassador designate George P. Kent

Today, AmCham President Indrek Laul, Vice-President Megan Riley, and AmCham CEO Daria Sivovol had a chance to meet the newly arrived U.S. Ambassador Designate George P. Kent at the AmCham offices. The meeting focused on the current activities of AmCham in Estonia, the organization’s topics and priorities, collaboration with the U.S. Embassy. We are truly thrilled to be able to have this introductory meeting and look forward to our regular ongoing meetings and cooperation!

 


Ambassador Designate George P. Kent was sworn-in as the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia on December 21, 2022. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister-Counselor, Ambassador Designate Kent most recently served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the European and Eurasian Bureau at the U.S. Department of State. Previously, he was Deputy Chief of Mission in Kyiv, Ukraine. Prior to that, Ambassador Designate Kent was the Senior Anti-Corruption Coordinator in the State Department’s European Bureau. He has also served as Director for Europe and Asia in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement. Since joining the Foreign Service in 1992, Ambassador Designate Kent has served in U.S. Diplomatic Missions in Tashkent, Uzbekistan; Warsaw, Poland; Bangkok, Thailand (twice), and Kyiv, Ukraine (twice).
